Today marks a bench mark in my world of finances and how to save money. Taking money seriously. Saving money for a vacation, a birthday gift or maybe even some thing nice for your self. As it happens most people get paid on Fridays, me, personally want to go spend some money at the end of my five day week.
Some idea’s to break it down, is easier said than done but here are some ideas:
1.) Taking out the exact amount needed for the weekend.
2.) Hiding 5-10% of cash in a secret spot.
3.) Before going out and about shopping on a piece of paper your list, on the bottom write down your estimate of spending of all items.
These are my top three things I do on my Friday or Saturday morning to ensure my self that I won’t go over my limit.
An interesting fact is we used to write checks more often, now transactions are done by credit card. This makes things really easy just to swipe and go. Taking out cash will save you money in the long run and you will know, in hand, how much you have.
To watch out for ourselves is key to success is take charge of our money, finance. “Where time is money, and money is time”.

Food for thought. Summer is the time for BBQ’, good food & fun. The Sun doesn’t set in the west until eight thirty so there is plenty of time to plan mid summer night food & drinks. Here are some ideas for family’s, quick, fast to clean up.
Hamburgers, hot dogs, Mac & cheese. For the kids that is! Let’s cut to the chase the recipe I’m about to give “Honolulu Burger”!! Ingredients: 2-3 lbs. of ground beef of your choice. Bacon, eggs, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato & BBQ sauce with a multigrain bun. Make it a double, double no French-fries needed. While slapping the patties on the grill I will grill up the onions, while carefully cooking the eggs to perfection.
This meal is done with in thirty, eaten in less than five.
Honolulu burger cost is priced to about $15 bones a burger, well worth it for the special Sunday Funday or entertaining guest. Top off this dinner with home made brownies from f’n Easy and vanilla ice cream.
This isn’t my usual daily blog but my weekend warrior blog! Back to work tomorrow with my brain on the money & my mind currently on food. Customer service aficionado will be back tomorrow for manic Monday.
